Senate ethics officer halts Meredith harassment probe pending outside inquiry

•A separate investigation into Don Meredith's sexual relationship with a teenager was similarly suspended due to an Ottawa police inquiry. •In a June 21 report, the Ethics and Conflict of Interest for Senators Committee said that despite Don Meredith no longer being a Senator, the investigation into his alleged workplace harassment should 'be fully investigated for the fairness of the employees involved and former Senator Meredith,' though the Senate could no longer impose any sanctions against the ex-Senator.
