Cannabis Act, finance minister’s ethics controversy to be front-and-centre for last sitting stretch of 2017

The House is back and set to sit until Dec. 15 before rising for the six-week winter break. It will return on Jan. 29.
Government House Leader Bardish Chagger said Bill C-45, the Cannabis Act, will be a priority. Conservative House Leader Candice Bergen said her caucus will strive to put the breaks on this push, while NDP House Leader Peter Julian said his caucus will continue to push the government to withdraw Bill C-27 and eliminate tax havens, among other things.
