Senate’s back to business: pre-clearance bill under scrutiny, says McCoy

The Indigenous rights bill S-3 will be another one to watch, but the action may not play out on the Senate floor, says the Independent Senators Group's facilitator.
Senator Elaine McCoy is nearing the end of her time as the facilitator of the Independent Senators Group, with a new leader scheduled to be elected on Sept. 25. Senator Peter Harder, the government's leader in the Chamber, has a fairly light load on his plate at the moment, with just three bills and a message on Bill S-3 in the Senate, but that will change quickly.
