New clerk shakes up House administration, brings ex-Senate colleague to serve as deputy

Several top House administrators will begin reporting to Michel Patrice, a deputy clerk of administration, beginning in late August.
Michel Patrice is currently the Senate's law clerk and parliamentary counsel and chief parliamentary precinct services officer, but will begin serving as the House's deputy clerk of administration, a new position, in late August. Mr. Patrice was tapped for the position last week by new House clerk and former Senate clerk Charles Robert.
Just over a month into his new job as House of Commons clerk, Charles Robert has shaken up the chain of command in the House administration, and tapped another soon-to-be former Senate clerk to serve under him and oversee several top House officials.
