Government, Senate trade parting shots as Parliament adjourns for summer

Parliament has risen for the summer, after tension between the two chambers bubbled up at the end. Chagger calls it a ‘period of transition.’
Government House Leader Bardish Chagger, Conservative House leader Candice Bergen, and NDP House leader Murray Rankin unanimously agreed to rise early on Wednesday, June 21. The House will resume sitting on Monday, Sept. 18.
