Parliament passes Bill C-14, House rises early, leaving remaining legislative agenda to Senate

The Liberals say they’ve passed enough legislation in their first sitting, but opposition sees the early rising an opportunity for the government to ‘get out of dodge.’
Conservative MP Andrew Scheer said the Conservatives agreed to adjourn the House early partly because 'the less legislation that the government passes, the better. So the fact that we're able to prevent the Liberals from doing some of the things they promised during the campaign that we think would be very bad for the economy is a good thing.'
