Senators grill Justice Minister Wilson-Raybould, call for amendments to assisted dying bill

Independent Liberal Senator George Baker—a longstanding member of the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee—has been assigned the job of sponsoring Bill C-14 in the Senate.
Justice Minister Jody-Wilson Raybould appeared in front of the Senate on Wednesday and was questioned over elements of Bill C-14. She responded that it has been a difficult and emotional piece of legislation to form, and that the government "sought to find the right balance."
