Ailing MP Mauril Bélanger’s private members' bill aiming to make the national anthem gender-neutral is scheduled to have its second reading in the House this afternoon. Colleagues have said it would mean a great deal to the MP—who is suffering from ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease—to get all-party support for the bill.
