The government decision to have all its MPs vote against an NDP motion calling for a review of a breach of privilege by the Procedure and House Affairs Committee, after House Speaker Andrew Scheer invited the motion on grounds that unimpeded access to Parliament for MPs 'merits immediate consideration,' is a concern in the wake of a government decision earlier this year to radically change Parliament’s security conventions and history by giving command of the Senate and Commons security services to the RCMP, says NDP MP David Christopherson.
