Duffy used friend’s consulting business to pay for personal training, makeup, volunteer with Senate funds, says Crown

Personal trainer Mike Croskery told suspended Senator Mike Duffy’s trial for fraud, breach of trust and bribery that although Sen. Duffy sought his advice and expertise on health and exercise in 2010 for a project on aging baby boomers, Sen. Duffy instructed him to bill another consulting company, Maple Ridge Media Inc., owned by Sen. Duffy's long-time friend.

A personal fitness trainer who was paid $9,150 from Senate funds for consulting services testified Thursday the consulting consisted entirely of conversations he had with suspended Senator Mike Duffy during three years of exercise sessions in the Senator’s Ottawa home.
