Suspended Senator Mike Duffy pressed the Senate administration in one instance to increase a yearly contract spending limit for the old friend, Gerald Donahue, in order to boost a contract from $10,000 to nearly $14,000 only two days before the end of the fiscal year in March 2010
The trial of suspended Senator Mike Duffy heard details Monday about thousands of dollars in service contracts he awarded to a long-time friend and which now are a chief part of the Crown prosecution case for charges of fraud, brief of trust and bribery.
