BCE supports full removal of telecom foreign ownership rules

The federal government eased restrictions on foreign ownership of Canadian telecom companies last year, allowing foreign ownership of telecom carriers with less than 10 per cent national market share. Telus Corp. said at the time that the government should go a step further and remove the restrictions for larger companies as well.
