Conservatives pushing back long-gun registry House vote to wait for PM’s return from China
The majority governing Conservatives delayed final Commons debate over the controversial legislation to dismantle the federal long-gun registry because Prime Minister Stephen Harper would otherwise have missed a final vote planned for next week while on a hastily-planned trip to China, The Hill Times has learned. The final House vote on killing the long-gun registry will happen after the PM returns from China on Feb. 11.
