Feds lost $173-million in public money, property in 2010: public accounts

Of that, $39-million was recovered, and $20.5-million was not recovered. According to the Public Accounts documents, the government expects to recover more than $113-million in future years. The losses come from either an offence, illegal act, accident, accidental loss, damage or destruction.
