Lovers of democracy: stay home this election campaign
Removing lobbyists, many of whom are some of Canada's most experienced campaigners, political advertising experts and even former politicians from the campaign trails does not strengthen our democracy, perceived or otherwise.
TORONTO—What if I were to tell you that animal lovers could no longer become veterinarians. Or car buffs mechanics. Well what may seem to be a ridiculous scenario is in fact the case for some of the greatest lovers and connoisseurs of Canadian democracy during this federal election.
