Charlottetown Declaration: Calling all Canadians to heal our oceans and coasts
Our oceans and coasts are in crisis. Canada must be a key player and leader in ensuring an effective global response to it.
The United States adopted a comprehensive national policy for the stewardship of their oceans, coasts, and Great Lakes recently. U.S. President Barack Obama has created a National Ocean Council to provide leadership in implementing the new policy.
