Feds should do more to prevent maternal deaths in Haiti, says reader
Prior to the earthquake, one in every 44 births in Haiti resulted in the death of a mother. Imagine how much worse this is now, with limited access to food, shelter, and medical support. It certainly pales in comparison to Canada, at one death in every 11,000 births.
