Canadian Forces’ unrelated battle injuries soared to 330 last year in Afghanistan

There have been 139 combat deaths of Canadian soldiers since 2002 and a further 529 soldiers the Forces categorize as wounded in action over the same period.

Injuries among soldiers in Afghanistan that the Canadian Forces categorize as unrelated to battle soared to 330 last year from only 84 in 2006, the first year of combat in the Kandahar region.
