Government begins a very long engagement with Haiti
International Cooperation Minister Bev Oda narrowly avoided Haiti earthquake thanks to a lucky change of travel plans.
International Cooperation Minister Bev Oda was scheduled to be in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on official government business the same day the cataclysmic earthquake struck the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, but luckily changed her plans and went to Bolivia instead.
