Did we really elect a Conservative government again?
Under our Constitution, governments are not directly elected by the people. The government is determined by the House, convened by the GG, and on the advice of the PM.
OTTAWA—Did we just elect another Conservative government? If you listen to the media and the politicians you'd think we did. But that's not exactly true. We didn't even elect another Parliament. But we did elect a new House of Commons.
