Justice Department officials made call not to brief Cabinet ministers Toews or Nicholson

Justice Department says it was senior officials in the department, not the minister, who made decision not to elevate briefing file the minister's office.

Officials in the federal Justice Department made the call not to brief former justice minister Vic Toews or current Justice Minister Rob Nicholson on matters relating to Karlheinz Schreiber, the Justice Department said last week.
