Fixing pollution law a once-a-decade opportunity
One of the first mandated tasks will be to respond to an all-party House of Commons committee report on the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, tabled in the spring. The law requires a response to the report when Parliament resumes.
For many parents, the summer of 2007 will be remembered as the summer they angrily threw out made-in-China children's toys contaminated with lead.
