Newfoundland Liberals say Efford must go
The Liberal Party in Newfoundland and Labrador has been split into squabbling factions ever since Roger Grimes defeated John Efford in a divisive leadership race in 2001. More than four years later, the party still hasn't recovered.
ST. JOHN'S, NFLD.--When former Newfoundland Premier Roger Grimes announced his retirement from politics in May, one Liberal organizer joked that the party should make buttons that read, "One down. One to go."
