Maj.-Gen. Gus Cloutier, Canada's longest-serving Sergeant-at-Arms, died last week at the age of 70 from cancer.

Parliament's longest-serving Sergeant-at-Arms, retired Maj.-Gen. Maurice Gaston (Gus) Cloutier, was "one of a kind" on the Hill, say colleagues who mourned his passing last Tuesday at the age of 70 from colon cancer.
