In last week's story,"Conservatives, NDP back $3.5-million budget office," (The Hill Times,Aug. 29) it was inaccurately reported that the government said it has an $8-billion surplus for the 2004-05 fiscal year ending March 31. This estimate was made by a private sector economist.
