Finance Committee girds for fight over Budget Office proposal

Liberals don't seem keen to pursue the idea of creating a Parliamentary Budget Office, even though it was included in the Throne Speech as a last minute amendment by the opposition.

Conservative MP Charlie Penson says the Liberal government is not doing enough to see through its Throne Speech commitment to set up a Parliamentary Budget Office, and is vowing to make it an election issue in the next federal election expected early next year.
