MPs, Senators get 1.3% boost to salaries

MPs received a 1.3 per cent pay hike on Thursday, bringing their annual base salary to $141,000 as of April 1, 2004. The boost brought the salary of Prime Minister Paul Martin - the highest paid MP in Parliament - up to $282,000.
