For a high number of the 500 or so ministerial political staffers and almost all the 80 PMO political staffers, Friday, Dec. 12 may be the last day of work as new Liberal Leader and Prime Minister-in-Waiting Paul Martin is scheduled to take over the reins of government on this day.
