Feds paid $12m to senior mandarins: thousands of senior civil servants got performance bonuses in 1995-96

The federal government paid more than $12 million in bonuses to thousands of senior civil servants in 1995-96, with some top mandarins getting as much as an extra $10,000 to $12,000 each, according to documents obtained through the Access to Information law.
