Leah Temper, Matt Hulse, Tanya Jemec, and Andréanne Brazeau

Leah Temper, PhD, is an ecological economist, a former lecturer at the McGill School of Environment, and the director of the “Fossil Fuel Ads Make Us Sick Campaign” at the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment. Matt Hulse and Tanya Jemec are lawyers at Ecojustice, Canada’s largest environmental law charity. Andréanne Brazeau is a policy analyst with Équiterre since 2020. She is also a lecturer in environmental and climate policy at Université de Sherbrooke.


Competition Act reform: modernization cannot ignore sustainability

The single most important challenge facing all levels of society—including business—over the next 30 years is the transformation to a sustainable, net-zero economy in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. The Competition Act cannot be modernized if it does not reflect this reality.
