This is not a call for unchecked spending. It’s a call to recognize health care for what it truly is: foundational economic infrastructure. If we are serious about building Canada’s future, health care can no longer sit in the background. It must be central to nation-building.
We need our health-system leaders to act courageously and fully commit to health-care reinvention to drive better patient outcomes, and a sustainable modern system.
The focus has long been on the belief that more doctors and nurses equals better health care. While they’re the backbone of the system, we need to start looking at solutions differently.
