Ethel Blondin-Andrew

Ethel Blondin-Andrew, a former Liberal MP from 1998 to 2006 for the Western Arctic, N.W.T., was the first Indigenous woman to serve as a federal cabinet minister and the first Indigenous woman elected to the House of Commons. She currently chairs the Sahtu Secretariat and is a senior leader with the Indigenous Leadership Initiative.
