Prime Minister Carney’s playing his cards right, but he should also be talking to Parliament
As Prime Minister Mark Carney and this country face these challenges with the United States, he should also be talking more to Canadians and to Parliament. It would go long way to better engaging with Canadians and empowering federal lawmakers. Carney needs Parliament, too.
Prime Minister Mark Carney's decision last month to withdraw from trade talks with the Americans and his Sept. 1 comments that Canada would return to those talks when they "stop doing memes, stop throwing shade, stop trying to be tough" resonated with Canadians.
