Canada and Mexico are the only nations in the trade bloc that have not yet ratified the United Kingdom's entry into the deal, meaning that Canadian businesses can’t trade with those in the U.K. under the CPTPP's terms.
The government’s bill to formally welcome the United Kingdom into the CPTPP trade pact, C-13, is currently awaiting review by the House International Trade Committee.
