Brookfield executive grilled by House Ethics Committee on Carney’s ties to company, says he met Carney in October on the Hill to talk about rising antisemitism in Canada

'I'm here to tell you that no one at Brookfield has communicated with the prime minister in relation to Brookfield or its business,' Brookfield COO Justin Beber told the House ethics committee. 'That's what we're required to monitor. That’s what I’m here to confirm.'
Justin Beber, chief operating officer of Brookfield Corporation, testified at the House of Common’s ethics committee on Nov. 24, and said nobody from the company has discussed business with Prime Minister Mark Carney since he left to pursue politics.
