‘Urgent need for change’: procurement watchdog clocks record number of cases, more complaints in annual report

In 2024-25, there were 670 cases reported to the Office of the Procurement Ombud, compared to 377 case in 2018-19 when Alexander Jeglic first took on his role.

The federal procurement watchdog's annual review says “systemic issues that persist year after year," reporting an 113-per-cent increase in written complaints to his office this year.
