Despite Liberal MP Anna Gainey serving in the role of secretary of state for children and youth, the federal government is not making young people enough of a priority, according to the NDP critic.

With youth unemployment at its highest rate in 15 years, excluding the COVID-19 pandemic years, Canada’s new secretary of state for children and youth, and the government overall, “should be doing more,” says NDP MP Leah Gazan.
