Hill security bars public access to Parliamentary Precinct directly outside of West Block after Singh scuffle

PPS officers are now posted at the foot of the stairs leading up to the West Block’s southern entrance, as well as other access points, barring access to non-pass holders.
Parliamentary Protective Service officers stationed at the foot of the stairs leading to the West Block's southern entrance on Sept. 19. Hill pass holders currently have to show ID in order to use the stairs and access the building's immediate vicinity, with the public barred from the area.
