Liberals have failed Indigenous Peoples as infrastructure gap grows 

Governments of all levels must stop the patterns of colonialism that have persisted for 150 years, respect Indigenous Peoples’ abilities to make their own decisions, and stop preventing Indigenous Peoples from revitalizing their languages.
The 2021 mandate letter to Minister of Indigenous Services Patty Hajdu included a pledge to eliminate the infrastructure gap by 2030, but the Liberals have failed to meet this pledge, according to NDP MP Lori Idlout.

Canada’s history cannot be separated from the colonialism, forced assimilation, and genocide of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
