Having a place like the new national suicide crisis help line, 988, where you can call or text when your mind is a desperate inner hell will be akin to providing immediate CPR to a person in cardiac arrest.
Unfortunately, the 988 system will be well used amid tougher economic circumstances, global strife, rising hate, climate worries, and a litany of other things that challenge our mental wellness, writes Tim Powers.
