Seizing Canada’s opportunity in ongoing EV battery negotiations

Canada is in a unique position to solve a market access problem for Stellantis while also solving an economic security problem for the European Union.
The federal government should explore a temporary deal with the European Union that would allow electric vehicle batteries made in Canada to satisfy the EU’s rules of origin until 2030, write Robert and Gord Dimitrieff.
