Elon Musk: the benign sociopath

We should care about Musk's moves because he has chosen to use his wealth for the benefit of mankind. Not for the benefit of individual human beings, of course—the ultra-rich are almost never interested in that—but of the human race as a whole. Worse motives are imaginable.
