The law must apply equally to all, or it will be held in contempt
Most Canadians like to think of themselves as tolerant. But corrupt or criminal behaviour is unacceptable, and everyone must understand there are consequences to breaking the law.

MONTREAL—No one is above the law.
This principle applies to the occupiers in Ottawa, as much as it does to every other Canadian. Despite their perpetual insistence they were “friendly, peaceful, and patriotic,” they failed to recognize they were also engaging in criminal acts.
