Be strong with the Emergencies Act, take back the Canadian flag, and close Wellington Street permanently

Invoking the Emergencies Act and having a sharp debate about it are both good things. This is an act for use in exceptional times and is a bit of a notwithstanding clause to many other laws. That said, the government’s careful use of it—time limited and geographically focused—is good. But it's really not enough.
