New ministers at the helm of environment, natural resources, and fisheries will have their hands full in the increasingly urgent fight against climate change after the release of new mandate letters more than six weeks after cabinet’s unveiling.

Environmental advocacy groups are pleased to see a “whole-of-government” approach to addressing climate change laid out in newly-released ministerial mandate letters that set the agenda for cabinet members and their departments.
