The raison d’être of Parliament is to debate issues that impact people’s lives. All MPs are equal. They are supposed to represent their constituents, oversee the executive, and contribute to the legislative process to serve Canadians better. But Elizabeth May and Jody Wilson-Raybould have both indicated that partisan patterns of behaviour in the House are making the practice for democracy unduly complicated.
