Noises off: election campaigning begins and we could care less

Sorry, partisans, but at this stage, signs favour the Liberals. It is too early to say whether they win a majority, or another minority, but, barring some naked display of patronage, or blatant mistruth, from the prime minister (always an active possibility) it is hard to imagine them losing.
