Memo reveals Iraq prophecy come to fruition

Little did I know when I wrote about the 'fool's errand' in 2018 that our soldiers would be knowingly training war criminals how to better kill in the name of a corrupt regime.
In a September 2018 column about the then-impending training mission, Scott Taylor included a side note to Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin, pictured right with then-Major General Jennie Carignan at a November 2019 change of command ceremony in Iraq, which read: ‘I cannot wish you success in your mission because you are embarked on a fool’s errand. Training more Iraqis to kill in the name of a corrupt regime is insane.’
