Building and maintaining mental health resilience throughout the pandemic and beyond

As Speaker, I am proud to head the House Administration as it has worked hard to provide comprehensive mental health and wellness services to support Members and their employees.
The House of Commons Chamber, pictured empty on June 4, 2020, has been outfitted with large video screens and capabilities to allow Members to take part in hybrid in-person and virtual fittings as response to the COVID-19 pandemic. To some, it might just seem like a slightly different way of operating, like nothing has changed behind the scenes, but to the employees who support Members of Parliament in Ottawa or in their constituency offices, this new work landscape has in fact had a significant impact on their lives, writes House Speaker Anthony Rota.
