Why is Canada paying so much for 15 CSC combat ships?
We allowed industry to affect the Navy’s SOR, we accepted a ship design and systems that are highly developmental thereby increasing risk and cost, and the government implemented a flawed procurement process and decided to abdicate its oversight role.

It is encouraging to see increased public debate on the planned acquisition of 15 Canadian Surface Combatants (CSC) for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). From my perspective, the more public debate on this matter, the better.
